Proposal Options
Hi Landon,
Here are those proposal ideas that I promised to send over. Of course, you can decide something totally different or even cherry-pick the parts that you like and we can come up with a plan that way but these are ideas that I highly suggest based on my professional opinion (and we can talk about times and details once we narrow-down the plan):

-
Head to L’Auberge/Cress on Oak Creek to go to “dinner” but get there a little early and take a walk down to the creek where you propose. Surprise! I’m already there and you two hop in with me where I take you to a photo location. I drive you back and drop you off for your actual dinner plans.
-
Head to Mariposa to go to “dinner” and propose out on the lawn. Surprise! I’m already there and you hop in with me to go take photos. I drive you back for your dinner plans.
-
Head to Tlaquepaque to go to “dinner” and you pop the question there (the shops close at 6pm on weekends!). Surprise! I’m there and you guys hop in with me and we go take photos and I drive you back for your dinner plans.
Other ideas:
-
You ask one of her friends to be a decoy and pretend that said friend will be in Sedona leading up to that weekend (play the long con). She will call you all on your way to dinner and pretend that she needs a quick jump and asks f you guys could come to the trailhead to help. You begrudgingly go but… surprise! She isn’t there and you pop the question.
-
You have an earlier dinner and spontaneously decide to go watch the sunset once you are finished. You take her to the agreed-upon spot where you pop the question. With this option, we could take the normal sunset photos then shoot into blue hour where you would get photos with the night sky, like this.
Best Choices for proposal and photo locations:
-
Munds Wagon: beautiful views with minimal effort. Proposal spots less than 100 yards from parking lot. ~5 mins from restaurants. Very quiet, easy parking. This is my top suggestion.
-
Secret Slick Rock: medium hiking effort. A half mile hike (or so) from parking lot to photo spot. Iconic backdrop of Cathedral Rock. ~15 mins from restaurants.
-
Bell Rock: low/medium hiking effort. Less than a quarter mile from parking lot. Busy lot and busy trail. ~20 mins from restaurants.

See below for galleries from each of these locations. Let me know how any of those sound to you and we can discuss!

Warmly,
Shannon
